And the news is in and it wasn't good!

So I went to the meeting in Olathe today and weighed in.  As expected, I gained 2.2 pounds but I still weigh less than I did when I walked back into a meeting on December 4.

After the meeting I drove around looking for an Instant Pot.  Nobody had them, so after a lot of thought I ordered an Instant Pot Duo Plus 6qt.  I'll have it by January 2 and can't wait to learn how to use it.  Now I need an air fryer so I'm researching different brands.

Tonight I joined two new Facebook groups for Instant Pot WW recipes and I looking for more.

I also joined Copy Me That and added the extension to Chrome and installed it on my phone and tablet to keep track of my WW recipes, especially Instant Pot and Air Fryer ones.

I am back on plan as of this morning and right now I still have 7 FSP left. Next week back to Olathe on Tuesday and then the following Monday I'll be back to my meetings in Overland Park.  Onward and downward.

Loving FreeStyle!!!

Today was my second weigh in and I'm down another 1.2 pounds for a total of 3 pounds so far this month.  It is so easy to follow this plan.  Most of the foods I eat come off of the zero points list so I have plenty of points for bread, condiments cheese, treats and etc,  Next Monday is Christmas so I won't weigh in until Tuesday and will be going to a meeting in Olathe at noon.Onward and downward.

Back in the Saddle Again!

Well I changed my WW subscription back to meetings on December 3 because I saw on Facebook that they were updating the program like they about every 2 years. I also think I need the accountability and support of the meetings.

I love FreeStyle.  So many new zero Smart Points foods.  So much more flexibility.  Even without completely following the program the first week I posted a 1.8 pound loss at today's meeting.  Promising. I left the meeting today and went to Aldi and bought 2 dozen eggs, turkey lunchmeat (98% fat free), nonfat Greek yogurt, veggies(fresh, canned and frozen), apples, canned chicken breast and canned tuna in water. Then I went to Hy-Vee and got pico de gallo, turkey bacon, fresh salmon filets and some Kemps nonfat sherbet. 

When I got home I made a turkey sandwich with reduced fat provolone cheese on a sandwich thin. I boiled a dozen eggs so I have them ready for breakfast tomorrow (zero FSP) and had one as a snack. I also peeled 7 clementines and put them in a Rubbermaid container in the fridge for those middle of the night snacks I can't break away from.  At least those trips will be zero FSP now. 

Tomorrow I will portion out the ground turkey into recipe size amounts and make a batch of Thug Kitchen Pumpkin Chili and add a half pound.

More later.... I hope I keep losing at this rate but as long I'm losing......

WEIGHT LOSS UPDATE!

I started working at an Amazon Fulfillment Center on 28 Oct. It is a VERY physically demanding job! I wear my Fitbit every work day and I work 4 ten hour days. Most days I get more than 17,000 steps and last Saturday I got more than 24,000. I weighed 145.5 when I started and today I weigh 129.4. I need to post an updated picture.

I was wearing size 10 jeans when I started working there and now I am in size 8 jeans. I can wear most of my size small button up shirts and am wearing a smaller size bra.

I have to eat more food than I was to keep up my energy but am eating wizely.  I'm not vegetarian anymore. I found that I was being lazy and eating too many WHITE carbs and was actually gaining weight instead of losing it. My first weight goal is 120, the top of my healthy range and my final goal is 105.

Oh! I want an air fryer so I can eat healthy fried foods.

Pantry Staples, Small Appliances and Gadgets, OH MY!

In the past I was really bad about buying kitchen things because they looked cool. I'd get them home, put them away and never use them  My daughter, Kenten, came over in May and helped me declutter my kitchen.  Thanks, Kenten.

Here are the small I appliances I consider essential:

1. Rice cooker - I use mine at least 3 times a week
2. Slow cooker - mine is 3 1/2 quarts and programmable, I cook for 1 person most of the time
3. Blender - buy the best one you can afford
4. Food processor
5. Stand mixer - I am fortunate to have a Kitchenaid.

Here are the gadets I use:

1. Mandoline/food slicer - really cuts down veggie prep time.  I want a Calphalon Precision Series.
2. Spiralizer - Veggetie or similar.  I have the low end version Veggetie and it does the job.
3.Vegetable peeler
4. Garlic press
5. Potato ricer.

Here is the beginning of my staples:

Beans - dried and canned
Brown rice - not the quick cook kind
Quinoa
Whole wheat, unbleached Flour
Yeast
All purpose flour
Agave syrup
Olive oil
Red wine vinegar
White wine vinegar
Apple cider vinegar
